Sell your tool to agencies that serve many brands
Sell your tool to the agencies that run one platform, such as Klaviyo or Shopify, for many brands, instead of selling to each brand. One agency sale can bring in 10 to 30 brand accounts. You find these agencies for free in the platforms' public partner directories.
The hard part: building something that clearly saves agency teams hours each week, then winning over agency owners who already have their own way of working.
Who pays
Agencies pay a monthly subscription that goes up with the number of clients they manage, plus a small fee for each staff login. boney2r reports that Hero Analytics charges about $500 a month for an agency with 10 clients, a couple thousand for 200 clients, and $10 per seat. The poster says this reached $96,200 a month in recurring revenue, which is their claim and has not been checked. Your own prices would depend on the tool and the platform.
How to build it
Pick a platform agencies run
Choose a platform that agencies manage for many brands at once, such as Klaviyo for email or Shopify for stores. All your customers will then use the same platform and have the same problems.
Build a list from partner directories
Klaviyo and Shopify publish partner directories that rank agencies by size. Copy the agencies into a Google Sheet with their size, website, and a contact name.
Ask agencies what eats their week
Talk to a handful of agencies on your list about the manual work they repeat for every client. For Hero Analytics, that work was client reporting.
Build one dashboard for all clients
Use Claude Code to build a dashboard that pulls every client's numbers into one place. Store the data in Supabase and host the app on Vercel.
Price by number of clients
Set up Stripe subscription tiers based on how many clients the agency manages. Add a per-seat charge for each staff or customer login.
Work through your agency list
Contact the agencies on your list in order and offer a short demo using their own client numbers. Each signed agency brings all of its brands with it.

boney2r reports that Zach and Brendan's Hero Analytics sells a reporting dashboard to email and SMS agencies instead of brands, with prices that scale by client count: about $500 a month for 10 clients, a couple thousand for 200, plus $10 per seat. The poster says Stripe shows $96,200 MRR and that the business went from zero to $1,000,000 a year in 19 months. These are the poster's own figures. The poster also says buyers came from the Klaviyo and Shopify partner directories, which rank agencies by size.
