Answer restaurants' common Facebook Messenger questions for a monthly fee
Set up a chatbot that answers the same few questions restaurants keep getting on Facebook Messenger. Owners pay a monthly fee to get those hours back.
The hard part: convincing restaurant owners to pay every month for something they see as just answering messages.
Who pays
Restaurant owners pay a monthly fee for a chatbot that handles repeat questions on their Facebook Page. EugeniusOnlineC reports charging one owner $297/month for this. The poster also reports $497/month for a bigger restaurant package that adds review replies and social posting. These are the poster's own figures.
How to build it
List the restaurant's repeat questions
Go through the owner's Messenger inbox with them and write down the handful of questions that come up most, such as hours, reservations, and menu. Use Claude to help draft a clear answer for each.
Connect the Facebook Page to n8n
Create a Meta developer app for the restaurant's Page and send new Messenger messages into an n8n workflow.
Match each message to an answer
Use a decision model (a fast AI that only makes yes/no or sorting calls) to pick which saved question a message matches, or 'none'. Send the matching saved answer back in Messenger.
Pass other messages to the owner
When a message matches nothing, forward it to the owner by email or text so a person replies.
Test with real past messages
Run a batch of old Messenger questions through the workflow and fix any answers that come out wrong before going live.
Bill monthly with Stripe
Set up a monthly subscription for the restaurant through a Stripe Payment Link.
