Sell customer requests from a one-page local rental site

Build a cheap one-page website for a pricey local service people search for by city, like crane rentals in one town. Then pass the customer requests it brings in to local companies that do the work.

The hard part: finding a service that people actually search for in your chosen city, then finding a local company willing to pay for the requests.

Who pays

Local companies that do the work, like crane rental firms, pay you for the customer requests your site brings in. You can charge a fee for each request or rent them the whole site for a monthly fee. The poster reports the value of the jobs his site brought in, not what he was paid.

How to build it

  1. Pick one service and one city

Choose a costly service people search for by town, such as crane, equipment, or dumpster rentals. Search Google for '[service] [city]' and look for results with few strong local websites.

  2. Buy a matching domain name

Register a domain that names the service and the city, such as one built from 'crane rental' and the town name. Most cost around $10 to $15 a year at registrars like Namecheap or Cloudflare.

  3. Build the one-page site with AI

Ask Claude to write the page copy and build a simple one-page site with a quote request form, then publish it on Vercel. Use a form service like Tally or Formspree so each request lands in your email.

  4. Help the page show up locally

Add the city and service to the page title and headings, and submit the site to Google Search Console. Ask Claude for a short list of common customer questions to answer on the page.

  5. Find a local company to buy requests

Call or email the companies that do this work in that city. Offer to forward each request for a fee, or rent them the site for a monthly price.

  6. Forward requests and send invoices

Pass each new request to your buyer quickly and keep a simple log in a spreadsheet. Bill per request or monthly with an invoice from your payment app of choice.

mhp_guy says he built an $11 website for crane rentals in Laredo, Texas, even though he has never rented a crane. He reports it has already sent him three leads worth $3,000, $9,000 and $23,000. These are his own figures for the value of the jobs, not his earnings.

The poster says he spent six weeks letting AI tools work for him on his own credit card, and that most cost $20 a month or less. He says he turned what worked into six businesses you can start this week.
