Run win-back emails for dentists, HVAC shops and med spas

Set up an email system for local businesses with thousands of past customers on file, and send AI-written campaigns that bring those old customers back. The business owner pays a setup fee and a monthly fee.

The hard part: finding owners who actually have a usable list of 2,000+ past customers and getting them to hand it over.

Who pays

Dentists, HVAC shops, and med spas with 2,000+ past customers pay a one-time setup fee and a monthly fee for you to run the campaigns. coreyganim suggests $750 setup plus $400 a month, or taking a small cut of the customers you bring back so the client pays nothing up front. That pricing is the poster's suggestion, not reported revenue.

How to build it

  1. Find businesses with big customer lists

Make a list of local dentists, HVAC shops, and med spas that have been open long enough to have 2,000+ past customers. Pitch the outcome, more returning customers, not the software.

  2. Host ListMonk on a small server

ListMonk is a free, open-source email newsletter tool. Install it on a small cloud server such as a DigitalOcean droplet, using Claude to walk you through each step.

  3. Connect a sending service

Connect ListMonk to a sending service such as Amazon SES, and set up the client's domain records so the emails come from their business.

  4. Import and clean the customer list

Export past customers from the client's booking or billing software, remove duplicates and bad addresses, and import them into ListMonk with their last visit date.

  5. Write campaigns in the client's voice

Use Claude to draft a short series of win-back emails, such as a check-up reminder, a seasonal tune-up, or a returning-client offer. Have the client approve them before sending.

  6. Report results and bill monthly

Send the client a monthly note on opens, replies, and bookings that came from the emails. Charge the setup fee and monthly fee through Stripe Payment Links.

The poster lists ListMonk as a service offer: win-back emails for dentists, HVAC, and med spas with 2,000+ past customers, at $750 setup + $400/mo. The poster says they purposely made the pricing estimates conservative, thinks ListMonk has the most potential of the 8 repos, and suggests a rev share where you take a small cut of the leads you reactivate.
