Sell founders a tool that fills in launch directory forms

Founders who launch a product submit the same details to nearly 200 launch directories. Sell them a browser add-on that fills each form in one click and keeps the directory list current, with an optional done-for-you service.

The hard part: keeping almost 200 directory forms working as sites change, and competing with a free extension that already does the basics.

Who pays

Founders pay a one-time fee or small monthly fee for an up-to-date directory list, saved product profiles, and progress tracking. Founders with no time pay a flat fee for you to do the submissions. No source reports revenue for this model, and the poster's own version is free, so this pricing is a suggestion.

How to build it

  1. Build the directory list

Collect launch directories into a list with each submit page link, what fields it asks for, and whether it is free or paid. Store it in Supabase so you can update it without a new release.

  2. Build the form-filling extension

Use Claude Code or Cursor to build a Chrome extension that shows a panel on submit pages and fills the form from the founder's saved product details in one click. Add copy buttons for unusual fields.

  3. Add a submission tracker

Let founders mark each directory as done or skipped and see what is left. Save their progress in Supabase so it syncs across browsers.

  4. Charge for the full version

Keep a short free list and put the full, updated list and multiple product profiles behind a Stripe checkout or ExtensionPay.

  5. Offer done-for-you submissions

Add a flat-fee option where you run the submissions yourself with your own extension and send the founder a finished list.

nicklaunches says there are 192 launch directories and each asks for your product info again. The poster built a free Chrome extension that shows a panel on the submit form, fills it with one click, has copy buttons for odd fields, and syncs Done and Skip with their tracker. It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, and Opera.
