Make free guides that grow coaches' email lists
Write and design short free guides and checklists that coaches and consultants give away in exchange for email signups. The coaches pay you a one-time fee for each finished guide.
The hard part: finding coaches who will pay for a guide when they could try making one themselves, and standing out from many other freelancers offering the same thing.
Who pays
Coaches and consultants pay a one-time fee for each finished guide, and they often come back for new ones when they launch new offers. AlexEngineerAI suggests $100 to $300 for a checklist or short guide and $150 to $400 for a 10-20 page guide, plus $100 to $200 more if you also write the welcome email series. These prices are the poster's suggestions. No source reports actual revenue from this service.
How to build it
Write a three-question client intake
Make a short Google Form that asks who the client's audience is, what main problem they solve, and what result their clients want.
Build a reusable writing prompt
Write a ChatGPT prompt that turns the intake answers into a 7-step checklist or a short guide outline, then expands each point with one or two practical sentences.
Set up a Canva template
Pick a clean Canva template for each format, such as a checklist, a 5-page guide, and a 10-20 page guide, so each new client only needs their colors, logo, and text dropped in.
Find coaches already offering guides
Search 'free guide' or 'free checklist' on LinkedIn and Instagram and look for coaches and consultants who post often. Message them with one specific thing their current guide could do better.
Deliver the PDF through Google Drive
Export the finished guide as a PDF and share it from Google Drive within 3 to 5 business days, with one or two rounds of changes included.
Charge with a payment link
Send a Stripe Payment Link for each package, and offer the welcome email series as an add-on.

AlexEngineerAI describes asking the client three questions (audience, main problem, desired result), feeding them into ChatGPT for a 7-step checklist or short guide outline, and formatting it in Canva. The poster suggests charging $100 to $300 per deliverable, finding clients on LinkedIn, and says it takes about an hour per deliverable once you have a repeatable prompt and template.
