Charge to automate the weekly step tools leave out
Find the one named weekly step in a paid tool's workflow that people still do by hand in email, a spreadsheet or a chat. Then charge the teams who use that tool to automate it.
The hard part: finding a step that enough teams share and care about, then reaching the people who use that tool.
Who pays
Teams already pay for a tool but still move one step by hand every week, like copying results into a spreadsheet or sending a Friday status email. They pay you to make that step happen on its own. One option is a one-time setup fee plus a monthly fee per team to keep it running. This pricing is a suggestion. The sources describe the method, not anyone's revenue from it.
How to build it
Pick a tool people already pay for
Choose a paid tool you know well or whose users you can reach, such as a booking system, a CRM or a project tracker. Paying users have already shown the workflow matters to them.
Find the step that leaves the tool
Ask users, or watch someone's workday, for the moment they copy something into email, a spreadsheet or a chat thread. Apps that record your screen and suggest what to automate, such as MemoryLane, can help you spot it.
Check the step is named and weekly
Keep only steps people already have a name for, like 'the Monday report', and that happen every week. Confirm with a few other teams that they do the same step.
Automate the step with n8n
Build a workflow in n8n that pulls the data from the tool and sends it to Gmail, Google Sheets or Slack. Ask Claude to help you plan the workflow and fix any errors.
Package it as one fixed offer
Write a short page that names the step and the hours it saves. Charge the setup fee and the monthly fee through Stripe Payment Links.
Sell to other users of the tool
Post in the tool's user community, forums and groups, and reach out to teams that use it. Each new team gets a copy of the same workflow.

- OnePersonHQ · Oct 3, 2026
OnePersonHQ suggests opening a workflow someone already pays for and finding the step that still leaves the tool and ends up in email, a spreadsheet or a chat thread. The poster says that if the step has a name and happens every week, one person can turn it into a product.
- KanikaBK · Aug 15, 2026
KanikaBK says an app called MemoryLane watched their screen for a day and told them exactly what to automate. The poster says the hardest part for Zapier, n8n or Make users is knowing what to build, and that the app can be tried free with your own AI account key.
